Black Creek, BC - The most prestigious event on the Northwest Sprint Tour calendar
served as the wrap up for the 2026 season with the running of the Neil Montgomery
Memorial Aug. 14th-15th at Saratoga Speedway.
22 cars from British Columbia, California, Florida and Utah showed up to battle for
$3,000-to-win each night and $10,000 to the top points earner on the weekend.
In qualifying on night one Aaron Willison 12.480 to pace the field, drawing a 10 pill for
the inversion in the 40 lap main event. With showers in the area officials moved up the
40 lap main, with Randy Price and Troy Globe making up the front row.
Price would lead the opening few laps before being passed by Brandon Carlson, who
assumed command at the front of the field. After a yellow on lap seven for Jarrett
Burdett and Darian Zeinstra the field restarted with Carlson once again assuming
command.
As the field closed in on lap traffic Tom Weston would spin after contact bringing out yet
another yellow flag. On the ensuing restart Jeff Montgomery would assume command,
leading until lap 18 when Darian Zeinstra would tag the turn two wall.
After holding off due to sprinkles Carlson would get the jump again on Montgomery to
move back into the lead, where he would stay for the rest of the race, holding off
hard-charger Aaron Willison to score his first NST win.
Saturday once again started with Aaron Willison scoring fast time with a 12.537,
sweeping fast time honors for the 2026 NST season.
Tom Weston and Brandon French would lead the field to green, with Willison pulling a
12-pill for the inversion, the largest of the season. Ryan Willison would get knocked out
of the race early on after hitting the turn four wall, setting up a restart, with Weston
taking command.
Aaron Willison and Randy Price would make contact in turn one on lap 15, resulting in
Price spinning and Troy Globe hitting the turn one wall. Willison would go to the tail for
the restart, setting up a charge through the field to try and catch up.
Weston would remain out front until lap 40, when Darren Yates and JJ Dutton would
tangle, bringing out the final caution. Jeff Montgomery would take command following
the ensuing restart, with Eric Humphries moving into second.
Montgomery would hold off the 15 car in the run to the flag, with Willison charging back
to third to claim the most points on the weekend and score the Neil Montgomery
Memorial crown.

point on a dominating 2026 season.
