Legends Back for Round Two At Wenatchee

WENATCHEE, WA: The Franks Radio Legends take to the track for the 2nd time this season at Wenatchee Valley Super Oval with two main events, one Friday night on May 29th, one Saturday night May 30th as part of the Wenatchee 200 weekend. This will mark races three and four on the inaugural tour for the Cars Tour West sanctioned Legends division, and looks to host a strong Northwest contingent.

The hot hand entering the weekend is Kalen Keck, who won both races a month ago on Leonard Evans Memorial weekend. Keck has won four races in a row at the ¼ mile oval and no doubt looks to continue that hot streak with two more. He will most certainly have his work cut out for him though, as two-time defending Track Champion Cole Dasenbrock makes his first start of the season at Wenatchee. Cole has been busy this season, running all over the country for Amidon Motorsports on the east coast, and JD Industries in California. Now Dasenbrock returns to the track he has won the previous two track titles at in his family owned car, and will be one the Wenatchee fans will point a finger at to win.

Another driver to keep an eye on will be Port Angeles, WA’s Pyper Alton. Pyper is also making her first start of the year at Wenatchee, and turned a lot of heads last year with consistent top 5 runs and a couple of podiums late in the year. Alton recently committed to Westminister College in Missouri to play Womens Flag Football for the Blue Jays, but no doubt wants to score a main event win before starting her new adventure.

Andrew Zimmer, Kaylee Decker and Josh Wold all scored top 5 finishes last time out and return to the ¼ mile this weekend, while Damien Harriss, who showed speed before an accident ended his day early, is also entered. The legends will run both Friday and Saturday night, the only class to do so this weekend.
