Monroe, WA - In his storied career, there are not a lot of things that Cobble Hill, British
Columbia’s Jeff Montgomery hasn’t done. The veteran Sprint Car racer ticked off
multiple accomplishments last season with both his first NST main event win and his
first NST championship.

Montgomery was the picture of consistency throughout 2026, only finishing outside the
top five once on his way to the title. In addition to the championship Montgomery also
reset two track records at Evergreen Speedway and Agassiz Speedway, further
solidifying the 33J at the top of the field.
2026 got off to an early start for the Rob Leighton Motorsports team as they made the
60 plus hour tow to Five Flags Speedway for the opening event in the Race 4 the
Million. Montgomery served notice on the field, winning his heat race, the dash and
finishing second to fellow NST regular Aaron Willison after a late race restart.
“I took a stab at him on the restart and he pinched me off a bit, we got together a little,
but it’s all good. I don’t mind losing to Aaron,’ Montgomery said to Pavement Pounder’s
David Sink following the race.
This weekend Montgomery returns to Evergreen and the site of his track record from
last year looking to better his second place run to Evan Margeson in the inaugural
Can/Am Shootout.
Fans can catch Montgomery and all of the Northwest Sprint Tour drivers May 9th for the
Granite Construction Can/Am Shootout.
