Trio of Northwest Drivers Head to Colorado forSPEARS Cars Tour West Super Late Models

While no Super Late Model races fall on the weekend of May 2nd in the Northwest, three drivers who call the region home will make the trek to Dacono, Colorado for round 3 of the SPEARS Cars Tour West Super Late Model series. The Builders Warehouse 150 from Colorado National Speedway will see Ethan Ebert, Bryce Bezanson, and Johvan Dillon make the trip to the fast 3/8 mile, a first for all three.

Having started the season with strong runs in the Southwest, and a 2nd career Northwest Super Late Model Series win in the Apple Cup, Ethan Ebert looks to continue building momentum and gain ever valuable seat time. “We’ve been getting comfortable in this Port City Super Late Model, which makes it easy to be comfortable and fast

at tracks that I’ve never been to. Coming off a win at the Apple Cup in the Super Late definitely puts a lot of confidence in not only myself but the whole Jefferson Racing team”. The SPEARS Cars Tour Northwest Pro Late Model series points leader is looking to lean on teammate and 2024 CNS winner Kole Raz for advice on his first trip to Colorado. “It definitely helps knowing the information I’m getting is nothing short of the best.”

Fellow Jefferson Racing driver Bryce Bezanson also enters with a streak of momentum, having placed Top 5 in both Cars Tour SLM races this season. “Ive been happy with how my season has gone so far. We struggled at the Apple Cup but we’ve been good in the Cars Tour.” Bezanason is hoping strong runs at Tucson, another 3/8 mile, can transfer to CNS. “I think Colorado will be a good track for us this weekend, from the looks of the videos I’ve watched it has multiple grooves, and the 3/8 distance is probably my favorite to run on. We’ve ran good at Tucson in the past, and CNS reminds me of it.”

Situation same for Johvan Dillon, who echo’d Bezansons scouting report. “This is my first time going to Colorado. Have heard it’s a fun, fast track with lots of character so I’m eager to go run it.” Dillon will look to a strategy-centered mindset for the Colorado race. “One takeaway from Tri Cities was on strategy because it gets difficult when the top 6 are all running the same pace. The strategy this weekend will be just staying out of harms

way early and keep clean and we should have a shot at a good finish with our Port City Race Car.”

While Bezanson remains focused on the full Cars Tour SLM schedule with other starts scattered throughout, Ebert’s focus now matches that of Dillon, running as many different races and tracks as possible while chasing seat time. The SPEARS Cars Tour West Super Late Models will race on Saturday, May 2nd live on FloRacing from Colorado National Speedway.
