Week 4 at Deming Speedway Features Almost All Repeat Winners

Everson, WA – The fourth week of racing at Deming Speedway saw an almost complete repeat of winners from week three. Jared Peterson, Nate Vaughn and Ryan Cannon were back in Victory Lane from last week while Cole Dishneau picked up his first win of the year. Racing on the night was sponsored by Jim’s Automotive and Special T Signs, Wraps and Graphics.

For the second week in a row, Jared Peterson was dominant on his way to the feature win in the Speedmart 600 class. Peterson passed Tristin Thomas on a lap five restart to take the lead and went the rest of the way unchallenged for his second straight win. Thomas would hold on for second while Kyle Mitchell ran third. Heat winners were Peterson, Chase Jensen, Spencer Constance, Emma Chorney. 

Nate Vaughn battled his way to his second straight win in the Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200 division. Dakota Drake led the first 23 laps before Vaughn made his way into second after a great battle with Kyle Mitchell. Nate timed up a slidejob through turn four that garnered him the lead on lap 24, moving Dakota back to second. From there, Vaughn gradually increased his lead before crossing the checkered flag first to take the victory, followed by Drake and Tyson Lemley. Heat winners were Dakota and Tyson. 

Ryan Cannon went almost wire to wire for his second straight win in the Doyle Guffie’s Rallye Auto Sales 600 Restricted class. After taking the lead over on lap two from Tristen Poszonyi, Cannon navigated the slick Deming Speedway surface expertly in running to the win ahead of Hudson Johnson and Hudson Little. Poszonyi and Johnson won heat races, as did Cannon and Jordan Devries.

The one division without a repeat winner from last week was the Capstone Plastering JR Sprints where Cole Dishneau grabbed win number one of the year. Thr race was cut short due to time limit, but Dishenau was credited with the win at the end, having led all the way. Kayson Sargent made a huge run up the field, going from 11th to second and had gotten ahead of Dishneau on the final lap before a track penalty set him back one spot on the finish. Lucas Fisher collected another podium result by running third. Luke Coates, Fisher and Easton Williams won the heats.
