Constance Keeps Domination Rolling, Wins Third Straight Pro Late Model Feature

Three races into Evergreen Speedway’s Pro Late Model season and no one has had an answer for car No. 78 Haley Constance. The 20 year old from Snohomish made a late race move to capture victory yet again.

The 50 lap feature saw four cars qualifying within a tenth of each other, the night settling into a competitive battle at the front. The biggest note out of qualifying was the run of No. 33 Kyle Lang. Going third quick and beating the No. 12 of Chad Fitzpatrick by one thousand of a second. Unfortunately for Lang who was making their first start of the year at Evergreen meaning he would start at the rear due to entering four new tires.

Fitzpatrick led the most with 38 laps, but Constance would get past the strong defender in Fitzpatrick to lead the final eleven laps and bring open the win. No. 00 Naima Lang finished in third, and Lang working through the field finished in fourth.

Street Stocks had their third race of the year with the class seeing their third different winner and although the points won’t reflect it, Dawson Cox became the third driver to win in the division this year. Cox filling in for the driver of the No.41 Mark Hubbard slowly worked his way through the field and found himself leading from lap 13 on. No. 28 Scott LaCross continued a strong run to start the season finishing in second, after winning race twoNo. 18 Jackson Beckel started at the rear and drove up to third.

An unusual feat was reached as well when Hornet driver Matt Snyder finished second in the class B-main after not qualifying and making a last minute decision to run the race at all. Choosing to take the transfer he would start 21st. Surviving the big one in a twelve car caution, Snyder would make his way into the top three, then made a three wide pass on the inside to take the lead and win the main event.

Stinger figure eights saw No. 21 Matt Sommerville return to victory lane with a lap 28 pass on the No. 13 of Tyler Draper. Dezel Snyder finished off the podium in third. No. 43 Mason Blodgett returned to victory lane for the second time in Youth Hornet competition, joining him was Taylor Tompson and Layne Peters.
